For many years the tiger model on top of Sandown Fort was a local icon. When it fell into disrepair, however, we decided to remove it. After one last blaze of glory painted pink in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness, the tiger was retired - or so we thought....
Since it's been gone, however, people have been asking us where it is and whether it's coming back. It seems the tiger was more loved than we realised, and so we've decided to open the question of whether it should return. We're currently sprucing it up, and if it's voted back onto the fort we will resurrect the tiger as an Island landmark.
