ROARsome news - We are re-opening on 19th June - With safety measures in place!

Posted on June 12, 2020

We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be opening our doors to visitors on the 19th June following the long-awaited news that the Government is allowing us to re-open. We’ve been humbled and blown away by our Wildheart friends and supporters taking us under their wings over these past few months. The donations, be them in pounds or in produce, have kept us going during a very anxious time.

We’re so excited to now be preparing to welcome you back with open arms but we’ll have to cap our numbers to ensure social distancing measures can be implemented. For this reason we’re urging you to purchase your admission tickets in advance online.

In order to ensure you safety, our education centre, playground, shop and indoor cafe will remain closed for the time being but we will be offering hot and cold takeaway food and drink from our outside kiosks. Toilet facilities will, of course, be open.

We have taken the decision not to provide our usual tours and talks to prevent close encounters between our visitors but instead we’ll be working hard to spreading out feeding and enrichment activities which maximise opportunities for you to see our animals in a relaxed environment.

The team have tried and tested our safety measures which are functioning well so we are confident that we can offer you the comfort of feeling secure away from the sanctuary of your own homes.

Our Wildheart family of animals, staff and volunteers can’t wait to see you!
